Entrepreneur and Key Motivator to Young Aspiring Entrepreneurs, Matt Tommy Shares His Secret Ingredients To Success!
Among all the successful entrepreneurs in the world today, one must wonder if there is a secret ingredient for success, and even if there is, is there a way to stand out among the competition? Entrepreneur and key motivator to the young, aspiring, and hungry entrepreneurs, Matt Tommy has figured it out. Drawing upon his own trials and tribulations, Tommy shares his journey in the world of sales.
It all started back in 2017. After leaving the security of his position as a teller at TD bank Canada Trust, he detoured into a financial advisory position and excelled under some truly great sales trainers. That is when he changed the trajectory of his life. In sales, he has found more opportunities in terms of huge income potentials and growth. For a business to survive, sales is key! Suffice to say, without sales, business is impossible.
Matt has now found a career in selling digital products, coaching programs, and creating courses through online appointments and leads. He has successfully closed both inbound and outbound calls, generating over seven figures of revenue for his clients. He has had the opportunity of working with a variety of businesses such as Amazon FBA, e-commerce, Shopify, digital marketing, virtual assistant space, Airbnb, and other businesses whose coaching programs sales jumped from $500-$1000 per course in the beginning to $10,000 – $20,000. As a result of this, he has built and managed multiple sales teams for these entrepreneurs, ultimately allowing them to gross over six to eight figures in revenue.
So, what is the biggest lesson that anyone can learn from all of this experience? Matt Tommy shares his expertise when it comes to his success: People, Creativity, Consistency, and interestingly enough, Avoiding Scripts.
Tommy has learned many valuable skills in life through his mentor, Tony Robbins. The most significant skill learned is to be able to influence people. By creating influential value, you immediately help people solve their problems and successfully move them towards their own goals.
Another ingredient for success is creativity. Successful sales is the ability to create value and solve problems. Each entrepreneur must harness these important skills. It is crucial to creatively navigate your way through the art of closing the sale.
One of the other factors that will allow anyone to become successful in sales is the ability to master a mindset of consistency through frequency and repetition. This disciplined approach to frequency and repetition will allow the salesperson to pick up calls and sell products within a day’s or even hours’ notice. This will also teach you behavioral flexibility and adaptability. The more you practice your skill, the more you master your skills. Consistency is key!
Lastly, avoid scripts. Scripts can manifest patterns of a boring dialogue which are easily recognized by your customer, making them resistant or reluctant to want to continue a conversation. It is important to personalize the way you talk to each individual customer and cater to your discussion to their wants and needs. Be more resourceful and creative to avoid diseases such as Scriptitis.
